Copies a single file from source to destination

Syntax:

EXEC SQLHTTP.net.FileCopy @SourceFilePath, @DestinationFilePath



Arguments:

@SourceFilePath	varchar(MAX)	Full path to the existing source file
@DestinationFilePath	varchar(MAX)	Full path to the non-existing destination file.

@DestinationFilePath

varchar(MAX)

Full path to the non-existing destination file.



Remarks:

Accessing the file system will be performed in the context of the SQL Server instance process. You can set SQL Server to run using a specific network account, or a Local System Account.



DECLARE @SourceFilePath varchar(MAX)
DECLARE @DestinationFilePath varchar(MAX)

SET @SourceFilePath = 'C:\ThisFolderExists\ThisFileExists.txt'
SET @DestinationFilePath = 'C:\ThisFolderAlsoExists\ThisFileExists.txt'

EXEC SQLHTTP.net.FileCopy @SourceFilePath, @DestinationFilePath
